And the Adventure Continues

I think People Watching is still one of my favorite activities. As I get to spend some quality hours in the LAX Airport, some of the frustration of the last day has been eased by watching the freaks that travel. There isn’t a particular race, creed or color that these freaks fall into, but boy are there a ton of them. One of the common ones has to do with hair. I might be biased due to my lack of hair, but I tend to notice the weird stuff. The 65 year old women with the jet-black hair. The 20-something guys that have the little peaks of hair sticking up. The 40 something guys with the same thing going on. Or better yet, the 40 something guys with the hat-on-backwards-I-really-need-a-wife-to-tell-me-I-look-like-an-idiot fashion sense. Or my all time favorite: the guys of any age wearing black calf-length socks with shorts and white sneakers. Really? No matter how many name brand logos you have on the socks (Nike, Addidas, etc), it does not make it look good.

Anyway, here I sit until 10:35 tonight when I (hopefully) will be on the plane bound for Oz…

That is all.

Are We There Yet?

And the fun continues….
I made it to Minneapolis, and here I sit. Very possibly until until tomorrow morning. It seems that the connecting flight to LA was taking off as we landed. Nice of them to wait and all. Now I sit at gate G21 (for a second time I might add) waiting to see if I can get a Standby seat to LAX. Either way, it appears I’m destined to stay Stateside for another day. For what it’s worth, Delta has a nice young lady named Julie who was very helpful and very adept at dealing with a very pissed of Red Neck (namely me). I gotta give them credit for that. More fun to come!! Stay tuned for the next episode…

And We’re Off…?

Nope. Not even close. After a late arrival of the plane to Milwaukee, we board and wait on the Tarmac. Apparently all flight leaving are shut down due to bad weather in the area. And, I’m going to miss the connection from Minneapolis to L.A. And here I thought things were going to go well after I skated through security without a hitch.

And to top it all off, our lovely flight attendant (who looks like a 50 year old Goth Queen) has the personality of a proctology appointment.

I hate flying.

Australia

Today is the day! Everything is packed and I’ll be leaving for Milwaukee in a few hours. Assuming that the Internet service will be good, I plan on blogging the whole trip and posting at least one picture a day, hopefully more. I figured this would be more  fun that posting on Facebook, and I have more control over my own site. Check back often for the updates. If you don’t have the site address, here it is: http://scott.bradach.com.
